Sound Bath Sunday - July
Welcome to Sound Bath Sundays...
This summer, move a little and unfurl a lot with Sound Bath Sundays—a blissful fusion of QiGong and sound healing on Governors Island’s tranquil DuYe House. Every 3rd Sunday at 12pm, join us for an afternoon where gentle movement meets immersive sonic therapy, designed to dissolve stress, soften stored tension, and guide you into deep stillness.
Begin with Chicava’s grounding QiGong practice, awakening your body’s energy with mindful, fluid motions. Then, surrender to a transcendent sound bath led by Ishkara Heqwabti, Founder of The Innerish and member of The Healing Tree NYC. Become immersed in the resonant waves of crystal singing bowls, indigenous drums, harmonic instruments and her voice, releasing what no longer serves you. We will be joined by Ndigo, Founder of The Healing Drum Collective and member of The Healing Tree NYC. She will use Reiki energy and aromatherapy to bring calm and peace to your mind and spirit.
Ndigo will also offer an opportunity to stand in her large Tibetan Singing Bowl (sign up will be available for a limited # of participants).
Whether you're seeking relief from anxiety, a moment of mindful reprieve, or simply a sacred space to breathe deeply, this experience meets you where you are.
⏰ 12PM Lawn Opens
⏰ 1PM Session Starts
Bring a mat, blankents, cozy layers, and an open heart.
Also, we highly suggested packing snacks or a little pinic action so you may enjoy the lawn after the session.

“So Boom, Check It: Our Strength Is Numbers”,
During the Fourth of July holiday weekend, a group of artists and publishers will gather on Governors Island to share their editions of prints, books, and zines. Though the island holds great significance in the history of the American Revolution and the gathering coincides with a national celebration of independence from imperial rule, the market forms as a tribute to something more profoundly universal: the refusal to be overlooked or silenced. Reproduction and distribution of the defiant word has been at the core of revolution as long as the printing press has existed. With backgrounds that transcend art, street culture, music, night life, mutual aid, and community organizing, this cohort creates testament to the power of our creative spirit. At pivotal points throughout history, sharing the printed word begins the momentum of collective ability to foment positive change in our world.
Featuring:
KeigoPrints, artist and printer
Leslie Diuguid, artist, printer, publisher, and founder of Du-Good Press
Coeur Noir Specialty Printing, printer
Peripherie Books, publisher
BlankMag Books, publisher
Blurring Books, publisher
Rob Cristofaro, artist, designer, publisher, founder of Rob Projects, and cofounder of Alife
